Aesthetics is most often defined as the science of the beauty. Originally it comes from the Greek word aisthanomai which means I feel, I see.
Leibnitz says:Cosmetic dentistry is an interdisciplinary branch of stomatology that unites almost all areas of dentistry and implies oral rehabilitation that meets the aesthetic requirements of the patient to the maximum. It includes procedures such as: smile makeover (Hollywood smile), ceramic veneers (veneers), non-metal crowns, tooth whitening and cosmetic dental fillings.
Aesthetic fillings ("white fillings") are a type of filler which substitutes the loss of hard dental tissue caused by caries or fracture. White fillings are made directly in the clinic, and a wide variety of shades of composite materials and their chameleon effect result in dental fillings that faithfully mimic the morphology of the teeth. They are made to match to the natural morphology of each tooth, which includes the creation of lumps, hollows, fissures ... The transition between teeth and fillings must be inconspicuous.
With aging, the patient’s teeth are becoming darker. Some harmful practices, such as smoking, drinking coffee and tea, as well as certain medications, can very strongly and quickly change the color of teeth. There are two methods of whitening teeth:

2) „Home bleeching“ The procedure is carried out by the patient, at home, after making individual transparent splints, which is used for the application of the gel. This method requires a longer time period due to the lower concentration of the active substance, which is appropriate and safe to use at home.
This kind of aesthetic restorations is used in cases where there is a greater damage of the hard tooth structure, which is not suitable to repair the tooth with composite filling, but otherwise the damage is not so great that it requires crowns. The tooth is prepared, a dental imprint is taken and sent to the dental laboratory and on this basis ceramic inlays, onlays and / or overlay are made using the CAD/CAM technology.
